A former Human Resources Administration worker has been sentenced to more than seven and a half years in prison for stealing more than $600,000 in public funds while she worked for the city, and for trafficking more than 100 kilograms of cocaine after she left the agency.
Petronila Peralta, 53, was most recently a Job Opportunity Specialist at an HRA center in Queens, according to the criminal complaint. She was employed by HRA from 2005 to 2014.
