A former Correction Officer was sentenced to 16 months in Federal prison Nov. 30 after a conviction for filing a false report about an attack on an inmate at Rikers Island.
The officer, Rodiny Calypso, 38, of Queens, was acquitted by the same jury in August of two additional charges involving the assault: violating the civil rights of the inmate and obstruction of justice.
