Employees Concerned About Being Infected In Measles Outbreak

The declaration of a public-health emergency by Mayor de Blasio to quell a measles outbreak in four zip codes in Orthodox Jewish neighborhoods in Brooklyn has some city employees who have to work in the area concerned about becoming infected. 

On April 9, the Mayor issued a mandatory vaccination order that required unvaccinated children living in the zip codes of 11205, 11206, 11211 and 11249 to get the shot or be banned from their school or daycare “for the duration of this outbreak.”
