A Department of Investigation probe into claims of orgies among staff members at the Housing Authority’s Throggs Neck Houses showed no evidence of wild sex parties—but did find on-the-job drinking and retaliation and mistreatment of employees by two supervisors.
Last August, more than 40 Caretakers and other staff members were transferred from Throggs Neck Houses to other NYCHA developments three months after the agency was notified that employees were reportedly having alcohol-fueled sex parties inside a groundskeepers shop, usually during work hours.
