DOI Commissioner: We’ll Intervene If NYPD Doesn’t Address Chokeholds

If the NYPD disciplinary process does not address problems to its satisfaction, the Department of Investigation can step in directly, Commissioner Mark Peters said last week after its Police Department Inspector General released a report criticizing the department for its handling of chokehold issues.
