Commissioner of Investigation Mark G. Peters admitted Oct.11 that he had misused his power by taking over the office of the special schools investigator and then taking action against two employees of that office who complained about his actions.
“James McGovern, who I appointed to conduct an independent investigation of whistleblower claims by Anastasia Coleman and Daniel Schlachet, has informed me that he has substantiated their claims,” Mr. Peters said in a two-paragraph statement.
