A former Administrative Engineer for the Department of Environmental Protection who used his city vehicle for non-work-related purposes ended up in a collision that resulted in more than $4,000 in damage to the car, according to the Conflicts of Interest Board.
Dudley Pierre, who had worked for DEP for 24 years, improperly used the car 21 times over the course of two years. Because of the infractions, he stepped down from his job. The Board accepted his resignation as a sufficient penalty for using city resources for non-city purposes.
