The Department of Citywide Administrative Services is gearing up for its annual training expo, held June 19-27, where city employees will take free workshops and seminars to sharpen their skills.
About 60 courses will be offered for free at the David N. Dinkins Municipal Building, including sessions on Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, personal finance, and tips to improve communication and listening on the job. The courses are aimed at everything from entry-level workers to those in senior management: there are a number of leadership workshops for those seeking to work their way up the career ladder.
