DC 37 members employed by the City University of New York overwhelmingly ratified a contract settlement with more than 98 percent of the vote, union officials announced last week.
The pact covers the period from Nov. 1, 2009 through Jan. 31, 2017 and provides 10.41 percent in compounded wage increases for 12,000 workers. A $1,000 bonus upon ratification of the contract, and an annual $200 increase to the welfare fund for all active and retired employees, are also part of the agreement.
