DC 37 Breaks CUNY Logjam, Getting Deal Providing 10% Raise

The City University of New York eased some of its labor pains June 10 by reaching a tentative seven-year contract agreement with 12,000 members of District Council 37 who had been working without a pact since late 2009.

The deal covers College Assistants, Disability Accommodation Specialists and Sign Language Interpreters who work at the university’s 24 campuses citywide.
