CSA Prods Mayor on Day-Care Pact, Political Meddling in Problem Schools

Nearly a year after he greeted Mayor de Blasio in an embrace to announce a contract between the city and some of his members, Council of School Supervisors and Administrators President Ernest Logan used the same perch Nov. 14 to criticize him. He blamed the Mayor for not prioritizing a contract for day-care center supervisors and also spoke more generally against political interference in city schools.

He did so under the gaze of Schools Chancellor Carmen Fariña, who attended the annual gathering at the Midtown Hilton. There were at least 400 attendees from the union, whose members include Principals and Assistant Principals.
