About four dozen members of District Council 37’s Local 372 rallied at City Hall March 14 to renew a request to increase the number of Crossing Guards at each school.
“This is a longstanding demand: we need more coverage,” said Shaun D. Francois, president of Local 372, which represents 24,000 non-pedagogical Department of Education employees. “We need multiple Crossing Guards at every school.”
