A 75-year-old School Crossing Guard at P.S. 212 in Queens was struck by a car and sent to the hospital with head injuries March 19.
An official at Local 372 of District Council 37, which represents the guards, said the incident highlighted the dangers faced daily by workers helping children cross congested streets.
