City Councilman Jumaane Williams, who attempted to stop U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement from deporting immigrant’s-rights advocate Ravi Ragbir by laying down in front of a city ambulance he was in, has refused a plea deal, opting to stand trial for obstructing emergency medical services, a Class A misdemeanor.
His next court date is May 8.
