Response times to the most life-threatening 911 emergencies went up nine seconds during Mayor de Blasio’s second year in office—even though he added 45 new ambulance tours last year.
That’s what City Councilwoman Elizabeth Crowley, the Fire and Criminal Justice Services Committee chairwoman, found by comparing the numbers in calendar years 2014 and 2015, and she called it unacceptable.
