Mary Beth Kelly and her husband, Dr. Carl H. Nacht, were riding their bikes on the Hudson River Bike path near West 38th Street in June 2006 when a tow truck heading to a riverfront impound lot nearby crossed into the bike lane and struck him.
Dr. Nacht, a 56-year-old physician at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital who also taught clinical medicine at Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons, succumbed to his injuries three days later.
