In the Dec. 14 issue, an article on increased staffing at the Administration for Children’s Services Emergency Children’s Services unit incorrectly stated that the agency hired additional employees at the unit because of a surge in emergency removals. While there had been such a surge, the unit handles late-night and weekend responses to reports of abuse and Commissioner David Hansell decided to double staffing at the unit after seeing that it was overburdened.
