At a time when outside intervention seems more likely to hurt than help, NYC Health + Hospitals is racing toward insolvency.
By next June 30 the agency will have only enough cash on hand to operate for seven days, according to its own projections, stated a report issued Dec. 20 by New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli.
