Police Commissioner James P. O’Neill promoted 10 Captains, 59 Lieutenants and 46 civilian employees Sept. 28 in ceremonies at Police Headquarters.
Margaret Alexa Samarotto was designated Executive Director of the Human Resources Division. She first came to the NYPD in 1979 in the emergency-planning division. Ms. Samarotto was promoted through the Employee Management Division. In her new post, she will oversee staffing, employee resources and managerial services.
