A State Assemblywoman from Brooklyn was arraigned Jan. 9 on Federal corruption charges alleging that she defrauded the city and Federal governments using a number of schemes, including falsely claiming aid meant for Hurricane Sandy victims and making false statements in Bankruptcy Court.
When a grand jury was investigating her early last year, the Assemblywoman, Pamela Harris, 57, instructed witnesses to lie to FBI agents, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District charged.
