Weather or not, frustrated faculty and staff rallied at LaGuardia Community College last week to repeat their demands for a new contract and criticize “systematic underfunding” of the City University of New York [CUNY] system.
A driving rainstorm forced the planned outdoor event at the Long Island City school to be moved indoors, but did nothing to dampen the fervor of the Professional Staff Congress [PSC] professors and adjunct professors, and the DC 37 Local 384 clerical and support-staff members, who sponsored it.
