The city is giving walk-in exams two days a week through the end of June for the position of Environmental Police Officer. No pre-registration is required. The application fee is $40.
The starting salary is $29,110, rising to $33,395 after the first 26 weeks. Incumbents at Assignment Level I will receive salary increments reaching $50,812 per year after 6½ years. There are three assignment levels in this class of positions. Appointments will be made to Level I, and employees may be assigned to a higher level at the agency’s discretion.
