The state is looking for Accountant Trainee 1’s, Senior Accountants, Auditor Trainee 1’s and Senior Auditors to work in many of its agencies. The application deadline is Aug. 12. The fee for each of the jobs is $35.
The Trainee jobs pay $41,993. Senior jobs pay $52,393. Trainees who work in New York City or in Westchester, Rockland, Nassau or Suffolk counties receive location and geographic pay that brings their compensation to $46,396. Senior jobs in that area pay $55,319. Those who work in Dutchess, Orange or Putnam counties receive a $1,513 mid-Hudson adjustment above the base salary.
