The state is looking for Law Department Investigator Trainee 1’s and Law Department Investigator 1’s. The application fee for each position is $35, and the deadline to apply is April 22.
The trainee salary is $39,713. The salary for a full-fledged Investigator is $49,488. Appointees who work in New York City or in Nassau, Suffolk, Rockland or Westchester counties receive an additional $3,026 annual downstate adjustment. Those in Dutchess, Orange or Putnam counties will receive a $1,513 annual mid-Hudson adjustment.
