The City Council denounced the Trump Administration’s policies that resulted in migrant children being separated from their parents at the U.S. border and questioned the local social-service agencies charged with their care at a July 12 hearing.
“Today’s hearing is about a crisis: a completely unnecessary crisis manufactured by the Trump Administration when it made the immoral decision to separate children and infants from their parents,” Council Speaker Corey Johnson said to kick things off.
